Leverage
1,200× leverage on BTC and ETH
Route lets you ride BTC and ETH at up to 1,200×. Here's what that actually means before you board.
Route is live on testnet now. Mainnet is next.
What 1,200× means
With 1,200× leverage, $10 of margin controls a $12,000 position. At 1,200×, even a tiny move against you derails the position and loses the whole margin. Only ride what you're fine losing.
How to reach 1,200×
- Up to 1,000× is open to every rider.
- Above 1,000× (to 1,200×) needs the Footplate pass, earned with miles from your own riding.
- At launch, every position is capped at $10,000 of size.
Why high leverage works here
Route is a house perp: you trade against a pot held by the contracts, not an order book, and fills use Hyperliquid's on-chain prices. There's no book to run out of depth, so a small margin can control a large position. The cost is that wins are paid from the pot, which may be short: the order ticket shows the share of a win your position can be paid before you sign.

Questions
What is the highest leverage on Route?
Up to 1,000× for every rider, and up to 1,200× with the Footplate pass, on BTC and ETH.
What happens if the price moves against a 1,200× position?
Even a tiny move against you derails it: the position is liquidated and the whole margin goes to the pot. Only ride what you're fine losing.
